InvoiceLix ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. Please read it carefully.
InvoiceLix is an online invoice generation tool for freelancers, agencies, consultants, and small businesses. You can reach us at privacy@invoicelix.com with any privacy-related questions.
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a hashed password. We never store your password in plain text — it is irreversibly hashed using bcrypt before being stored.
Company profile and bank details. If you choose to save your company profile and bank details, this information is stored in our database and used solely to pre-fill your invoice forms. It is not shared with third parties or used for marketing.
Invoice data. Invoices you save, including line items, client details, amounts, and any notes, are stored in our database and associated with your account. We do not analyse invoice data for profiling or advertising purposes.
Uploaded files. Logos uploaded to your company profile are stored on our servers in your account's dedicated folder. Support screenshots uploaded via the Report a Problem form are stored temporarily for diagnostic purposes and may be deleted once the issue is resolved.
Support tickets. When you report a problem, we collect your name, email, issue description, issue type, and any optional screenshot you provide. If you are logged in, the ticket is associated with your account.
Usage data. With your consent, we may collect anonymised usage analytics (for example, which invoice features are used most) to improve the product. This data does not identify you personally.
We use strictly necessary session cookies to keep you logged in securely. With your consent, we may use optional analytics cookies (to understand how the tool is used) and advertising cookies (via Google AdSense) to support the free service. You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via the banner shown on your first visit, or by reviewing our Cookie Policy.
We process your data under the following legal bases: contract (to provide the service you signed up for); legitimate interests (to maintain security and prevent fraud); and consent (for optional analytics and advertising cookies). You may withdraw consent for optional uses at any time.
Account data, invoices, and profile information are retained for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your data is removed within 30 days. Support ticket data is retained for up to 24 months for quality and audit purposes. Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
InvoiceLix is hosted on Hostinger. We do not sell your data to any third party. If analytics or advertising features are enabled by your consent, data may be shared with Google (Google Analytics, Google AdSense) in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We use Google Fonts, which may log font requests.
We use prepared database statements to prevent SQL injection, bcrypt password hashing, secure session management, and server-side input validation. File uploads are type-checked and stored in restricted directories. Despite these measures, no system is completely secure and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

InvoiceLix is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly remove the data.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via the account email address. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision.
